If there is not good or evil, than their is no heaven and hell. If their is neither of those, than their is not the christian god and satan.

I still don't see why something can't exist just because it's percieved differently. Disagreement on a subject does not imply that subjects non-existence. it seems like people just say, "oh,we can't agree on what it is, so its just not real" that doesn't make any sense to me.

Maybe good and evil does exist, but to me it does not exist. Who knows, maybe it does. One day, maybe I'll find meet evil.

hmm...it all depends on what your definition of good or evil is...people do usually do interpret the definitions in similar ways, yet still differently

I believe love and hate exist. I'm saying no one can provide a real definition to them, so we can't understand totally what they are. I know love and hate exist; I feel them often. We all just have our own interpretations of what they are.

well, I understand that, and I'd say I agree. I think good and evil are very real, not necessarilary in a religous sense either, its just rather hard to define what they are, since they are not things but, for lack of a better term "labels" or in a biblical sense "forces." I doubt theres a definition everyone can agree on, we could probably get close, but not perfect, but, hey, pobodys nerfect.

I know I shouldn't double post but this has finally come to me in a writing I'm posting up on the internet around different forums.
Good vs. Evil Many opinions are on this subject. I have developed my own opinion after thinking about this over days; even now I think about it and try to understand more. Some may find these thoughts confusing or even don’t agree while other can. Despite this, please respect my views, for I respect yours even if you haven’t expressed it already.
Black & White As a child being brought up Christian, everything was black and white. There was Satan with his demons & fallen angels and there was God with his Angels. What I see from that picture is just good versus evil and humans as the prize. It is black and white, a crystal clear view (picture). Humans are grey matter though, neither good nor evil, constantly struggling with it, some don’t however. Some firmly believe in Satan or God, however many still swing between the two. I’m not a Christian. I haven’t even really studied the bible that closely. Christians may even disagree with me about this view, but this is how I see it. This is what is perceived through my eyes and please don’t think I hate Christianity. I’m not going into the views of religion for I start long debates about it.
Define Even the simplistic person is complex and even the most complex person is simplistic. Why? We gave simplistic a definition. We define things. Words are labels.
-Evil - The quality of being morally bad or wrong; wickedness or that which causes harm, misfortune, or destruction: a leader's power to do both good and evil. -Good - Having the qualities that are desirable or distinguishing in a particular thing or not spoiled or ruined -Arcane - Known or understood by only a few -Hatred - Intense animosity or hostility. -Weird - Of, relating to, or suggestive of the preternatural or supernatural -Love - A deep, tender, ineffable feeling of affection and solicitude toward a person, such as that arising from kinship, recognition of attractive qualities, or a sense of underlying oneness.
This is complex part which my family disagrees with me. We define things, so in sense there is no such thing. We say this is it but in reality the word nice could be used on someone instead of mean and vice versa. Maybe this would make it easier:
Nice - Selfish in a petty way; unkind Mean - Exhibiting courtesy and politeness
I switched the definitions of the words around. Or instead of those words we could give this definition to the word dreamy: Selfish in a petty way; unkind.
Do you get what I mean now? There is no such thing as good and evil! They are just labels. However, there are always two opposing forces. Dark is the absence of light. Its always been that way and maybe always will be. In math there is an infinite amount of numbers between a number and another number. Examples are follows: 1 and 2, 10 and 11, 1,000 and 1,101, and -2 and -3. Even between the numbers .5 and .6 there is an infinite amount of numbers. Blame it on the decimal system. So between black and white there is an infinite amount of shades. Maybe this is confusing for some, but not to me. I few did not define things like we do; this world would be in utter chaos. Definitions of words are like rules that a government has made to keep things from being in chaos.
Opposing Forces and Wraiths Now to get back on to the subject of two opposing forces idea from earlier. It is like the yin and yang Chinese idea: nice vs. mean, dark vs. light, good vs. evil and so on. So in a sense there is good and evil yet at the same time there isn’t such a thing. That is confusing but let me explain in maybe easier terms. This had to deal with Wraiths from Lord of the Rings. If you don’t know what a Wraith is then think of a ghost/spirit instead of a Wraith. I remember this from a debate in English class about Wraiths. The Wraiths are there in the world in physical form but you can’t see them if they didn’t have those clothes to define their forms. Ghosts…you can see the ghost and you can’t touch. So in a sense a Wraith (Ghost) is there, yet at the same time, they really aren’t there. I know this is confusing, probably even hard to understand. This is the only way for me to explain my thoughts. There but not, not there and yet there.
Conclusion There will always be two opposing forces. So maybe peace will never be because of it. We can’t see to obtain peace because of these forces, because of these labels. This is how I see things for now. I’m trying to improve on the answer. I don’t think I’ll ever come up with the “true answer” and only this touches the basis of it. However, I do know we need those definitions, for if we don’t; this world would be in utter chaos. However, when you get right down to it, there is evil and good it’s just that we have names for them. Labels with definitions so that this world is orderly are all that good and evil is and so in a sense they don’t exist. It’s all based on opinion however. Good and evil is opinionated. Just think of Hitler and what he thought when he killed people, he thought he was doing some good for Germans by getting rid of Jewish people. Think of the problems with Muslims and Jews, they think they are doing the right and that each other is wrong. It’s all opinion. So this debate on what is good and what is evil could go on forever and yet everyone is right and everyone is wrong. Many of us have the same thoughts, good is kind things evil is unkind things. We are brought up with this belief. However, there is not pure good or evil force in this world, its all just variations to a degree. The only time someone could be considered that is if they were just born, but they are the absence of both. For a baby has not done evil nor has it done good as we see it. This is the final conclusion of my thoughts. Maybe you have the same view as me, but I hope that somehow you understand, even if it is highly confusing. Even if you don’t truly understand, I hope that maybe even your view is a little bit changed. This is all I can say.

Good and Evil is a balance that must exist. It's Ying and Yang. Without it the would would cease to exist as we know it.
