okay, if a plane with hundreds of people was crashing, and you had the power as a god (you are not in the plane) to save one person or let them all die. Would you safe a person? and who would you save?

personaly I would save a sick kid, a kid who had already been through to much already

i would prolly save the youngest kid, and if there were 2 youngest kids that happened to b the same exact age...flip a coin lol

ok, i'm still sticking with my answer from thw other forums....
If you were a Godlike being, then you would know everything about every person. You would know if they would contribute to society in a great way, and you would be able to see if they were going to become a mass murderer..So, really, if one was a Godlike being, the easiest choice would be to save the person who will do the most with the rest of his/her life.
OK, and i need to get in at least one smart ass comment....
If you were a Godlike being, what is possibly stopping you from stopping the plane crash?

no you couldn't as this topic says ONLY ONE PERSON <.< I wouldn't think who made a great difference in society, it makes it unfair who gets to live, we are all equals but this way it would seem that one person has more right to life than the other.

well, if the plane was crashing because of a problem in the cockpit, I would save the pilot, so he could save everyone else. However, if it were otherwise, I would save no one, for fear of what my choice would entail. For instance, if I saved someone, and he/she turned out to be a homocidal maniac, I wouldn't be able to deal with it.

if there was a person who played important part in some furture.. i might save them dependin on that future..
other then that, i'd most likely pick someone i know on a personal level.. and let everyone else die

*looks at them all * there is no one truly special on earth, hell I wouldn't even do it for the one I love.. sorry to say.. Even if the plane had me on it.. I wouldn't..
So in the end, let the plane crash and burn.. it won't bother me..

personaly I find it interesting to see how people valuate who to let life, some did it cause of religion beliefs, some out of what good that person could do to others and some did it to bring good to only that person, and yet in the end all deserve to live just as much as the next person.

ah well i see most people would save one person but who who who i would have to say the woman with a child in her womb saving the both of them not sure if it makes it in the rules
