yeah, I was raised catholic, I think the problem with catholicism is that it's older than protestant religions (duh) and therefore is not as relevant today. There really should be some reform in ideas, moreso anyway. The only reason I don't just go protestant is because I am stubborn and have an extreme distaste for Luther and Calvin and the likes. So, I've kind of just made my christian faith my own, with some buddhist ideas thrown in.
.... that and I just find it hard to believe that a married couple never had sex..... maybe thats just me.

Takumi, about the cross thing, i think u missed my point... i was talking about how people become christian and then don't do anything about it. Jesus took up this huge wooden cross to save us, and some people only make a show of it and in order to make it easier on themselves they twist the beleifs around so it matches them perfectly. because it is so easy for them to "carry" christianity, they are only taking up a cardboard cross... that's what i meant

I don't know if anyone is on, or if i'm supposed to do this here. I don't even know if anyone cares... I just have to ask... I would like to ask people to pray for me. This isn't something i usually do. or even something i've ever done before. But i really need as much help as i can get. I haven't been doing really well lately. I haven't at all actually. I am not living. I am merely surviving... I want to live again. A Day doesn't go by anymore in which i don't wish that i wasn't so much of a screw up or think that I've somehow let everyone around me down. I even cut again the other day. I don't want to do this anymore. So whoever is out there, please just keep me in your thoughts... if you go to my live journal I'll keep everybody posted on my... umm... i know about the basics of christianity in general. my church is exactly the same as your though. the loud bunch of mumbling is a pretty good description of it all. they are all bleeding hearts. (or you could say "they carry a cardboard cross") Christianity is no good unless you bring it into good use. these people ought to wake up. they are all athiests masquerading as christians. i definatly like the christian beleifs, but it's so sad the attitudes some people have about it. i don't know. i myself am a protestant, but a lot of my friends are catholic. i get a lot of mixed emotions about everything. everyone has a different opinion. maybe that's a good thing. i don't know. Yes is a great thing that everyone has their own opinions. Its when you start saying yours it right and their's is wrong is when it goes bad. Personally, I dont like christianity. |

Personally, I dont like christianity. you can't dismiss any religion is my opinion, maybe Christianity is true and pagans are wrong in their beliefs. Myabe pagans are right and Christians are wrong. Who knows??? I certaintly. I believe what I believe and I will not force what I believe on anyone. Recently my best friend broke up with her boyfriend because her boyfriend said pagans are satan worshipers. Now that is wrong. My other best friend and I are pagans and we don't worship the devil. If we did we would be satanists. |

If we did we would be satanists. Well, not technically, if you go and read all the stuff on Satanism, only a few of them actually worship him. I used to be an atheist, but after coming here and reading all of this stuff and everything...i honestly dont know what to believe  my beliefs have been warped  |

two weeks ago i went to Colorado for a national gathering of American Baptist Youth and i had an awesome time, but i also had a humongous spiritual awakening. i realized that for the past few months God has been calling me into the service of Him. So, in that week that i was at that conference, i rededicated my life to him, and i made the decision with my God to go to Seminary and become a minister. I have a rough journey ahead of me, and i would apreciate it if people could pray for me once again. i gotta tell you though, i have never been so happy in my whole life. ;D
